The Twisp Creative District, part of the Town of Twisp, is seeking proposals from artists or artist teams to design, fabricate, and install two sculptural benches within the Twisp Creative District. These benches should function both as seating and as public art that reflects the creativity, culture, and natural environment of the Methow Valley. The benches will be permanently installed and must be suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the Twisp climate, fabricated from durable materials that are comfortable to sit on.
Eligibility: Open to individual artists and artist teams. Washington State residents are encouraged to apply; regional and national artists are also welcome.
Budget: Total project budget: $28,000. This budget must include artist design fees, materials, fabrication, transportation, and installation.
Submission Requirements:
•Artist statement (1 page maximum)
•Portfolio of relevant public art or functional sculpture work (5–10 images with captions)
•Preliminary concept description or sketch (not required to be a finished design)
•Proposed budget breakdown
