The Port of Seattle’s Public Art program is seeking glass and multi-disciplinary visual artist or artists team to submit their qualifications to be considered for this permanent art commission within Seattle Tacoma International Airport. The restroom wall art is intended to be a visual cue for the restrooms as well as the adjacent nursing suites. The restroom wall art will be a highly visible piece for both the people going to the restroom but also for the people waiting to use the elevators. The space will have downlighting which will be integrated into the ceiling in the form of series of downlights along the length of the wall.
Residency announcement: The Port of Seattle’s Public Art program is excited to announce that the candidate selected for this project described below will be offered a residency at Pilchuck Glass School (Stanwood, WA) and the Museum of Glass (Tacoma, WA) in the Summer of 2023.
