Pretty Girls Making Cool Shit is proud to announce the call for art for their fourth virtual exhibition! We invite women-identifying artists of all mediums to join us in celebrating the beauty and majesty of landscapes and seascapes in By Land or By Sea.

About PGMCS:
Established in 2018 by friends and artists, Lisa Britton and Alejandra “Alexa” Orozco, Pretty Girls Making Cool Shit empowers and supports emerging and professional female artists while being fun and informative.

Theme: By Land or By Sea: Embrace the boundless wonders of our planet as we invite you to explore the diverse landscapes and seascapes that inspire awe and wonder. Through the lens of art, capture the rugged grandeur of towering mountains, the tranquil serenity of rolling hills, or the dynamic energy of crashing waves against rocky shores. Whether your medium is painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, or any other visual art form, we welcome women-identifying artists from all disciplines to interpret and express their unique connection to the earth and sea.

Eligibility: Open to women-identifying artists of all visual art mediums – painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, etc. Artists from any country are welcome and there are no educational requirements to apply to this open call.

Important Information:
Submission Fee: $20 for 2-5 images (minimum 72 dpi), non-refundable
Please title your images with the following format: first name_last name_title of artwork
Submission Deadline: April 20, 2024 (Midnight PST)
Exhibition Dates: May 5, 2024 – June 2, 2024
Artwork must be for sale
Artists will be notified of final decisions by the end of day April 27, 2024
