The Oregon School of Art at Oregon Society of Artists is expanding our education program! We are currently looking for art instructors to add to our roster for future classes beginning in 2023! We are specifically looking to expand our watercolor, comic/manga art, and pastel course offerings, but we are open to proposals in any medium.

The mission of the Oregon Society of Artists is to promote the visual arts in the diverse communities of our region, with educational and exhibition opportunities for artists at all levels of accomplishment. OSA offers classes for every level of ability and every age, covering a wide range of media including: watercolor, pastels, acrylics, oils, digital art, sketching, life drawing, sculpture, calligraphy, oil and air dry clay and more!

OSA classes occur once per week for a duration of 1.5 to 3 hours in 7 or 14 week installments as set by the instructor. Instructors set their own class prices in collaboration with the OSA office and receive 70% of class proceeds. Online and in-person instruction is welcome. Instructors partner with OSA to market and promote upcoming classes. OSA instructors receive special benefits throughout the year in the form of web and print features on promotional material, opportunities to participate in special events like Art in the Pearl, OSA’s Art in the Garden, and much more!

Required Qualifications:
Past teaching experience preferred, with an exhibition history, or a strong portfolio of artwork that demonstrates mastery of your material.
