The 5th Avenue Theatre has an excellent opportunity for the position of Assistant Company Manager for the 2019-2020 season. This is a temporary position that will begin with part-time hours and increase to full-time as required. Approximate dates of employment are August 19, 2019 to March 6, 2020.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as ambassador to company members, field questions, and provide support to the Company Manager.
File accident reports with our Payroll Manager and assist injured or ill company members in making appointments or transport to urgent care/emergency room as needed.
Provide meals and hospitality as required.
Communicate with artists, distribute paychecks and execute riders.
Turn in Check Requests for fee payments and reimbursements.
Track and keep accurate records of Artistic Department expenses.
Collect ticket requests from company members and field to Guest Services.
Coordinate travel and housing for visiting artists.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position has experience in Company Management, Stage Management, or similar work in a theater environment.
Strong organizational and administrative skills, including multi-tasking and expense tracking.
Skills in communicating clearly, with tact and discretion, as well as maintaining confidentiality.
High attention to detail and demonstrated skills producing complete and accurate work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well within deadlines.
High level of computer proficiency with knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and demonstrated good judgment when issues need to be escalated.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and diplomacy skills.
Positive, articulate, outgoing, and friendly personality; a sense of humor a plus!
Ability to work the hours necessary and demonstrated regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
A background check is required for this position.

Schedule:

This position will work part time through September 20 and then will increase to full-time.

The schedule will usually correspond with regular administrative office hours, which are M-F, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Except during Technical Rehearsal periods, which require varying hours and will include evenings, late nights, and weekends during these dates:

September 24 – October 4, 2019
November 13 – November 26, 2019
January 22 – January 31, 2020

The primary work location is The 5th Avenue Theatre, located in the Skinner Building at 1308 5th Avenue, in downtown Seattle.

Compensation:

$16.00 an hour. This position is eligible for overtime for work performed more than 40 hours per week.
