Washington Filmworks is hiring a Full-Time Production Services Coordinator.  The Production Services Coordinator is responsible for responding to inquiries, tracking projects, and identifying services and efficiencies that would best serve the community and create a more sustainable Washington State Film Industry.  This would be accomplished by establishing systems and identifying resource opportunities to keep pace with evolving needs of the Washington State motion picture and associated creative industries.

Key Qualifications

Success in this position will rely on a passion for supporting the statewide film industry, a working knowledge of physical production, a talent for utilizing creative problem-solving, and an ability to listen to disparate needs and then prioritize responses.  This job requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to both work independently as well as collaborate with others. This position will work closely with the Executive Director and will require the individual to be a strong advocate for the film industry in Washington State.

The Specifics

General Production / Location Questions 

  • Respond to general inquiries including but not limited to location requests, the production incentive program, accommodations and permitting agencies
  • Facilitate bids for production incentive and commercial clients
  • Facilitate and execute location scouts as needed and create VIP filmmakers for visiting crew / talent

Maintain and Manage Production Resources 

  • Develop a broad working knowledge of Washington State film resources including the production incentive program
  • Keep Washington Filmworks online resources up to date
  • Maintain Washington Filmworks online location and crew databases
  • Integrate historical production resources
  • Plan and facilitate any location scouting trips or familiarization tours

Project Tracking 

  • Maintain a database of all inquiries, projects, and leads for both incentive and non-incentive clients
  • Report periodically to the Executive Director on the status of projects
  • Collect and aggregate data to evaluate the reach and needs of the film community

Community 

  • Grow and maintain a statewide film liaison network
  • Attend and represent WF at community outreach events (as needed)
  • Identify potential on-going communication and engagement strategies with community and partners (including correspondence with legislators and elected officials about production in their area)
  • Work with visiting productions to ensure a positive experience in Washington State

Requirements

General

      • Clear and concise communication style imperative and resourcefulness, good judgement and organizational skills essential
      • Motion picture production experience and knowledge of line item budgets and entertainment policy & procedures

Communications

      • Must be able to draft both formal and informal business correspondence with clients
      • Must be comfortable speaking publicly at events and presentations
      • Must be comfortable communicating with clients on the phone in an open office environment

Technology

      • Must be comfortable with Apple based computer hardware
      • Must be able to use Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Apple Operating system
      • Comfort with online interfaces and web apps

Desired Qualifications

      •  College degree preferred

Compensation 

Depends on Experience, Health Benefits, Transportation Stipend
