Eighth Generation, the first Native-owned company to offer wool blankets, is searching for a self-starter with a strong general awareness of the Native experience, history and art to work at the Eighth Generation flagship store at Pike Place Market. Relationships are critical to our growing business, and the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong customer and community relations.

Position Basics:

  • Starting wage is $15-17 per hour
  • Pike Place Market location
  • 20 – 40 hours per week
  • Negotiable hours

Position Description:

  • Greet customers
  • Skillfully answer questions about the company, artists, products and the broader Native experience.
  • Maintain tidy and well-stocked inventory
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Communicate with Eighth Generation team to ensure proper customer service
  • Build productive, trusting relationships with customers
  • Perform related duties as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Retail experience preferred
  • POS (point of sale) system experience preferred
  • Strong general awareness of the Native experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively about Eighth Generation values and business practices
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement is required
