SMALL WORKS (formerly “Small Wonders”) November 1- December 30, 2019

In celebration of the Holidays, The Rowan Tree Gallery calls for art for a juried group show of small works. Works submitted must be smaller than 12”x12”, framed. The gallery asks that prices be set to encourage holiday shopping.
All original, two dimensional works, including oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, pastels, drawings, prints (woodcut, linoleum cut, monoprints, etc. – please, NO giclee prints), mixed media, and photography will be considered. All work must be presented appropriately for a fine art gallery. Photographs must be matted and framed behind glass, printed onto canvas, or mounted. Oil and acrylic paintings must be framed or gallery wrap painted. Watercolors, pastels, and prints must be framed behind glass. All work must have wire on back for hanging. Pieces may be rejected if not properly presented when received by the gallery. The Rowan Tree Gallery takes a 30% commission on pieces sold. There is no submittal or hanging fee for this show.
An opening reception with the artists will be held on November 1, 2019, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Exhibiting and selling artwork is a team effort and it helps sales if the public gets to meet the artists. All artists accepted into the show are expected to attend at least 2 hours of the opening reception unless they live 50 or more miles away. If you cannot commit to attending the opening reception to meet and public and promote your work, please do not submit to the show. Thank you for your consideration.

Please submit:
1. Up to five (5) jpegs of your work named with your full name (last name first) and the title of the piece (for example: “Doe, John – Snowflakes”). Please include the name of the show in the subject line of your email.
2. A list of the pieces you are submitting that includes the title, dimensions, media, year created, and price.
3. An artist bio and brief statement about the works you are submitting, to: rowantreeaberdeen@gmail.com. Please include your telephone number, email address, and website address.

Submittals deadline: October 14, 2019 5:30 p.m.
Gallery notifies of selected works: October 21, 2019
Art delivered to the gallery: October 30-31, 2019
Opening reception November 1, 2019 – 5-8 p.m.
Pick up art not sold: December 27-28, 2019, btwn 1:00-5:30 p.m.
