Teen Arts Committee Workshops / Calls & Submissions

Deadline
January 31, 2021

Organization Name: Old Fire House Teen Center

Organization Location: Redmond, WA

Type: Calls & Submissions

Fee: Free

Discipline:

The Old Fire House Teen Center Teen Arts Committee (TAC) would like to host a free monthly arts and craft series that is open to all skill levels wherein teens can follow step by step instruction and learn fun techniques from a professional artist.

Artists are invited to submit proposals for a 1 hour online creative workshop for teens. Artists may submit for an individual workshop, multiple individual workshops (i.e. watercolor flowers, zentangles, zines etc.), or a series of workshops (i.e. watercolor flowers, watercolor landscapes, watercolor portraits etc.). We hope to include 15 minutes at the end of each session for an informal Q&A with the artist and teens. There will also be a 15 minute setup prior to the workshop to test the audio and visual connection. We also ask artists to check in for 15 minutes with the Teen Art Committee one month prior to their scheduled workshop. The total online time commitment is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The goal is to help build community among creative teens, provide a free opportunity for young artists to meet and learn from professional artists, while supporting local artists through a $125 stipend for each workshop.
