The call for entries for the 2023 Betty Bowen Award is now open. The Seattle Art Museum administers the annual award to honor a Northwest artist for their original, exceptional, and compelling work.
This juried award was established to honor Betty Bowen (1918-1977) who was an enthusiastic supporter of Northwest contemporary art. The winner receives an unrestricted prize of $15,000 to further their career, and a selection of works by the winner will be exhibited at the Seattle Art Museum.
This regional award is open to artists working in Washington, Oregon and, Idaho.
