We invite you to contribute handmade books to our exhibit The Color of Words at Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA.
The show will open January 11, 2020, and run through February 24, 2020.
SUMMARY
In this show, The Color of Words, we encourage you, the artist, to contribute handmade books to a living collection that will be housed in the gallery. We invite you to contribute to a diverse “library” of handmade books inspired by the colors literature brings into life, art, and the world.
RULES
EACH PIECE MUST BE…
A handmade book.
Your own original work.
Available for sale.
Created in the last 3 years.
Any size.
Never previously been shown in the Methow Valley area.
Number of pieces to submit: Up to 10
PLEASE NOTE…
The Exhibit Curator has the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, available space of the show, or does not follow the parameters set forth above. We are looking for high quality execution and thoughtful content that contribute to the vision of the show as stated above.
DEADLINES
Intent to Submit: Email Intent to Submit Form [PDF] and JPEGs titled “lastname_title_medium_size” to gallery program manager (kaileah@confluencegallery.com) by November 1, 2019
Accepted work: Email high quality JPEGs (300dpi) of accepted work or work in progress along with Artist Statement and Bio (word doc preferred, pdf OK), Inventory Sheet, and Confluence Gallery Contract up to and including the day of delivery, January 4, 2020.
All works must be at the Confluence by January 4, 2020.
Show Opening: January 11, 5pm – 7pm. All artists are encouraged to attend.
Show Closes: February 24. Work will be available for pick up after 5:30pm, or from 10-5pm February 25.
Confluence Gallery and Art Center is a non-profit gallery. All shipping arrangements and costs to and from the gallery of unsold works are each artist’s responsibility. See Confluence Gallery Shipping Procedures Form [PDF] for details.

Confluence Gallery offers commission structure of 60/40 to non-members artists and 65/35 to member artists.
