One Year After the Overturning of Roe v. Wade The Fishbowl invites artists to submit work for an upcoming exhibit that seeks to reclaim the word “matrix” and/or commenting on the current state of reproductive rights and bodily autonomy, while exploring themes of choice, power, and inequality. Originally meaning “uterus” or “womb,” “matrix” has been commandeered to represent anything but the life-originating word from which it springs.
