The AYP Artist in Residency (AIR) aims to nurture artists from a diverse range of backgrounds and uplift the work of all artists, with a particular focus on underrepresented perspectives and voices. We welcome all visual artists working with a wide range of mediums. The purpose of the AYP AIR program is to grant artists the gift of space so that they may develop and evolve their work during their time in Sacramento.
The WAL Residency is 3 months (April – June / July – Sept 2020) and is open to visual artists 35-miles outside of Sacramento. Open to artists nationwide.
Artists receive:
-furnished studio apartment at Warehouse Artist Lofts
-studio work space at Verge Center for the Arts
-$500 monthly stipend
-$500 travel stipend for airfare available
-participation in group show at Verge Gallery
The Verge Residency is 6 months (April – Sept 2020) and open to visual artists within a 35-mile radius of Sacramento.
