We Protest: Call For Art

Make.Shift Gallery invites artists, protesters and organizers to share their unique perspectives through visual art. The October gallery show is calling for submissions of protest signs and banners used in recent protests and rallies, as well as original art in any medium inspired by current events. In addition to their own original content, we encourage any interested BIPOC organizers or activists to submit videos of spoken word, speeches, or performance art. This is a juried show that will be selected by Make.Shift jury members.

For the safety of protestors, consent is a necessity for anyone displayed in the submissions. We have the ability to hide the appearance of protesters who may not want their identity shown.

How to Submit:

Email Gallery@makeshiftproject.com by August 31st
Include:
-Your Name
-A short Bio/Artist Statement with your relationship to the recent protests
-Images of your work and/or protest signs and banners
