We are seeking photography responding to the theme Yugen – ‘A profound awareness of existence, which evokes an inexplicable feeling too deep and mysterious for words’ This is a call looking for emotive sea, sky and landscape photography.
The natural world is full of energy and emotion. From crashing waves, to snowy mountains, trees waving in the wind and a sweltering desert heat, we are looking for photography that evokes a sense of wonder or awe using natural landscapes as a source for exploration. With this open call we are seeking photographers who explore different landscapes and natural events encapsulating and abstracting emotion through photography.
This call will form part of Issue Eleven as we take on topics surrounding mental health, well being and emotion. With this in mind we are open to interpretations of photographs – we want to know what emotions the landscape brought out in you and why you felt compelled to capture it. Whether it brought happiness, sadness, fear or joy we are interested, we intend on creating a visual journey through emotions demonstrated by studying the wondrous and mystical scenes of our world.
This is an opportunity for both amateur and professional photographers to share their work and experiences through the platform of Murze. All photography submitted will be featured across our website and social media, a further selection will be featured in issue eleven.
Images submitted must be at least 300 DPI

Deadlines for entry is the 10th March 2020
As stated above all photographers will have their work published on our website. The portfolios submitted will be reviewed and juried by the Murze team, and photographs will be selected as feature artists as part of murze issue Eleven; exploring emotion, well being and mental health. Photographers will receive both exposure on our online platform and a spread of both them and their practice in the magazine, coming out at the end of March.
