Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) provide support for artist-generated projects which can include (but are not limited to) the development, completion, or presentation of new work in any discipline. View our reference guide for examples of successful past applications.

Who is Eligible:
18 years of age or older by the application deadline; Washington State residents at the time of application and payment (payment may be made up to one year after the application date); practicing artists: those who are dedicated to producing artwork on a regular basis.
Who is NOT Eligible:
GAP or Fellowship recipients in the last five years; recipients of three AT GAPs total in a lifetime; previous recipients of the James W. Ray Distinguished Artist or Arts Innovator Awards; recipients of more than one AT grant per calendar year; graduate or undergraduate matriculated students after the deadline date; current AT staff, Board of Trustees, honorary committee, consultants, contractors, current AT GAP panelists or their immediate family.
