Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas

We enrich Seattle’s cultural Landscape by empowering Black artists and communities through equitable access, brave spaces, and collective discourse. We envision a world where Black lives, contributions, and expressions are cherished. By nurturing and platforming the works of Black artists, we cultivate community belonging that retains Black talent, enriches the diversity of Seattle’s Art Ecosystem, and opens doors for solidarity, understanding, and collective empowerment that transcends difference.

We aim to eliminate barriers for artists and community members in need of space. On a first-come, first-served basis, we offer FREE space to Black artists, subject to availability. Whether you need a place to rehearse, teach, host a workshop, or hold a small event, fill out our intake form. While we can’t guarantee every request, we’ll review it and respond as soon as possible.
