Recording Academy, nationally and in conjunction with its 12 regional chapter offices through Grammy.com, is the primary communication link between the Academy’s 20,000 members and its programs, services and activities. The membership department works to ensure each member stays informed on Academy activities and events, creates added-value partnerships with companies through the member benefits program and responds to member’s concerns and questions regarding the Academy and their membership.
MusiCares offers an Emergency Financial Assistance Program providing financial grants for music people in crisis. MusiCares employs full-time regional case managers in Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York, plus a full-time addiction recovery specialist in Los Angeles. MusiCares can help with medical expenses, hospitalization, treatment for substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, other life threatening illnesses and basic daily needs such as shelter and utilities.
