In April & May, Artist Trust, with support from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, hosted three conversations with artists and arts professionals on legacy and estate planning for artists. Facilitated by Claudia Bach of AdvisArts, the conversations explored perspectives, challenges, and hopes of working artists in the visual arts, literary arts, and music.

In this webinar, Claudia shares specific findings from the conversations, particularly strategies and concerns of artists regarding legacy and estate planning. Claudia is joined by Artist Trust Program Director Brian McGuigan, who discusses resources available through Artist Trust. The findings from these conversations will help artists better understand the importance of legacy and estate planning and inform possibilities for creating larger initiatives to address aspects of artists’ estates while creating a stream of financial supports for artists in the future.
