A Home for Artists

We are proud to present our 2023 Annual Report celebrating our ongoing work making Washington State a home for artists, designed by Creative Lou.

Thanks to community members like you, last year we distributed $440,500 in funding to 134 artists statewide, including awarding 16 Fellowship Awards—the most in our organization’s history! Through grants, workshops, and online resources, we connected with thousands of artists and provided them with the funding and knowledge they need to flourish.

Like you, we believe that an investment in individual artists builds the health and vitality of Washington State communities. As you read all we’ve accomplished together, we hope you will feel moved to support our work!

Here are some highlights from the 2023 Annual Report that we’re excited to share:

Our Impact in 2023 -highlights by the numbers

Our impact goes beyond the numbers. In 2023, we also focused on:

Building Community: We strengthened our commitment to building connections and fostering collaboration among artists across the state, traveling from Seattle to Spokane, Tieton, Washougal, and many more places in between, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie that transcended geographic boundaries of Eastern and Western Washington.

Empowering Voices: We amplified the voices of artists, ensuring that their stories were heard and their talents recognized. Through our advocacy efforts, we championed the rights of artists and advocated for policies that support a more equitable and inclusive arts ecosystem.

Envisioning the Future: We created a new Strategic Framework that will guide our work through 2026 as we deepen our support for community and build an even stronger organization.

Transforming Spaces: We transformed our Capitol Hill, Seattle office into a vibrant community hub—a true home for artists—welcoming over 350 community members through our doors since last June. Although it is currently under construction from a burst pipe earlier this year, we can’t wait to welcome you back later this Spring.

As we look back on the accomplishments of 2023, we are filled with gratitude for the artists, supporters, and partners who have joined us on this journey. Thank you for being a part of the Artist Trust community, and for your belief in the power of artists.

We invite you to help us make an even greater impact in 2024! To make your tax-deductible donation visit artisttrust.org/donate. Artist Trust can also accept gifts of stock or securities, or be named a beneficiary in your will.  Contact justine@artisttrust.org for more information.
