About

Abrian Curington is a visual storyteller and cartographer living and working in Washington State. After receiving a BA in Fine Art from Western Washington University, she began publishing comics and fantastical maps through her company Blue Cat Co., resulting in multiple digital releases, a full-length graphic novel WOOLMANCY and two graphic novellas. She then decided to renew her love for deep space and ocean sciences, receiving a Capstone Certificate in GIS Fundamentals from University of Wisconsin—Madison. Since then, she has earned an Artist-at-Sea Residency aboard the Research Vessel Falkor, a Science Communication Fellowship aboard the Exploration Vessel Nautilus, spoken about visual storytelling at Ocean Sciences Meeting 2020, and will be serving as an Onboard Outreach Officer aboard the Research Vessel JOIDES Resolution in 2022. However, from fantasy to non-fiction, she is dedicated to producing light-hearted visual stories that ignite curiosity and champion exploration.
