Diana Xin was born in China’s Hebei province and grew up in Minneapolis. Before landing in Seattle, she lived in Chicago, Beijing, and Missoula. She holds an MFA from the University of Montana, and also studied with other writers through the Made at Hugo House Fellowship and the Loft Literary Center Mentor Series. She now teaches on occasion at both organizations.

Diana serves as an editor for Moss Lit, a journal of the Pacific Northwest. A 2017 Pushcart nominee and M Literary Residency fellow, her work has appeared in numerous publications, receiving honors from Third Coast Magazine, Narrative, and Beecher’s Magazine. She is currently at work on the end stages of a short story collection and the beginning stages of a novel.
