About

Hoa Hong is a multi-disciplinary visual artist and designer, born in Vietnam and raised in Tukwila, Washington, a culturally and linguistically diverse city. At a young ageHoa was fortunate enough to experience numerous traditions, music, food and cultures through her friends and community. Her work is inspired by adversity within diverse and marginalized populations. Hoa enjoys collaborating with local BIPOC businesses to create public artwork that celebrates her people’s successes, amplifies their voices, and defines what it means to be a minority in the current social climate. To simply put it, she paints in hope to increase visibility and representation of BIPOC whether it is on public murals, in art gallery or design systems. Outside of her professional practice, Hoa guest speaks, mentors, and teaches youth and young adults art practices at high schools in King County.
