Jennifer Campbell

Jennifer Campbell received 2010 GAP Award funding for materials and technical assistance to create a trilogy of videos for a new body of work titled Ele*mental. The work will continue her exploration into the process and results of transformation through the use of her own body as a performative object. The premise for this body of work will focus on the use of light and gesture to conjure up images that satirize our desire to domesticate that which we cannot possibly control. By subverting the body through absurd and explicitly physical actions, Jennifer aims to dramatize crude yet genuine attempts to stay connected to nature and the human experience.
