About

Jonathan Soren Davidson is a South African-American speculative writer and visual artist working in interactive and graphic fiction. His work explores concepts of monstrosity, liminality and memory, with a focus on the experiences of trans and disabled people of color. He is interested in using horror as a way of exposing and subverting the fears of oppressive ideologies in the world, towards opportunities for Black, Mad and trans futurity.

Jonathan’s work has been exhibited at the Wienwoche Festival for Art and Activism (Vienna, Austria), ApexArt gallery (New York, NY), as well as public art exhibits in Seattle, WA. He is currently working on “Every Time I Die, I Wake Up Here,” an interactive gothic horror comic about time travel, ghosts and the consequences of remembering.

Jonathan currently lives and works in Seattle, WA. He believes every act of creation has the potential to be an act of embodiment and resistance.
