About

Season Evans is a self-taught quilter. Originally from Southeastern Pennsylvania, her background is in writing and education and found quilting later in life. She has since exhibited her quilts in quilt shows and galleries in both the United States and Europe. Season most recently exhibited in “Piecework Collective” during NYC Textile Month, the Modern Quilt Guild Exhibit at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, and a solo exhibit, “Residual Geometries” at Drygoods Design in Seattle. Her work has been featured in magazines such as Arkitip and Define as well as several quilting anthologies. She also teaches various quilting workshops. Season currently lives in Seattle with her husband and two daughters.

Season received 2017 GAP Award funding to cover the costs of producing three new full size quilts for a series she is working on that explores color, form, and technique. The total of four quilt will be exhibited in a group show at James May Gallery in Algoma, Wisconsin, which will run through the month of September 2018.
