Seth Collier is a Spokane based artist specializing in digital visual art. Raised in southern California, Seth and his family moved to Washington to pursue an education in the arts. Seth earned his AFA from Spokane Falls Community College and a BFA in Studio Art from Eastern Washington University, where he was a 2021 scholarship recipient from the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists and earned the Dean’s Award for excellence in the art department. Drawing on experiences of Schizoaffective Disorder, Seth combines drawing, vector, and collage techniques with video, animation, and A.I. to explore a range of contemporary social problems. His work emphasizes the anxious nature of psycho-spiritual experience within a highly politicized and technologized society, and often integrates materials from news and social media to support themes of mental illness and looming societal collapse. His work has been included in Spokane-based events like Terrain and Apostrophe, and is regularly on view at MAD Co. Labs Studios.
