About

Sophie Loubere is an interdisciplinary artist and educator working out the Olympic Peninsula. Her work is research-based with a focus on printmaking, handmade paper, and alternative photography. She earned an MFA in Printmaking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BFA in Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design. She currently teaches at Pacific Northwest College of Art.

Loubere is an award-winning artist who has exhibited in cities throughout the US, including Seattle, Providence, Madison, and Atlanta. Most recently, she received the Caxton Club Grant for a project in book arts. She has taught classes, workshops, and led demos at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Gage Academy of Art, Editions Studio, and Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
