Steph Cao

Steph Cao is a Seattle-based, second generation Vietnamese American ceramicist. She was born and raised in New England and has been living in the Pacific Northwest for the last nine years. Having spent her whole life by the coast, natural elements are often seen in her work. They are blended with modern aspects of design that she draws from her studies from the University of Massachusetts. Earning a B.F.A in Architecture + Design paired with minors in Studio Arts (emphasis on ceramics), and Building Construction Technology have helped her grow her work through a simple yet effective design approach. Over the last five years, Steph has built a small ceramics business from the ground up, constantly improving her craft and never compromising her vision. When she is not in the studio, Steph loves to bake, being amongst plants, and hanging with her dog, Ken.
