Emergency Funds
CERF+ Emergency Relief Grant
CERF+ can help you get back to doing what you do best. CERF+ offers $3,000 Emergency Relief Grants to craft artists who experienced a recent and substantially disruptive emergency or disaster.
Artists Fellowship, Inc
Practicing visual fine artists and their families are eligible for one-time assistance due to sickness, natural disaster, bereavement, or unexpected extreme hardship.
Entertainment Community Fund
Provides Emergency Financial Assistance to eligible performing arts and entertainment professionals via several different specific funds.
Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants
This program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need* who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography. Only generative artists are eligible—artists creating their own, independent work, with recent and ongoing opportunities for the public to experience that work.
4Culture Emergency Grant
Emergency and Unforeseen grants meet a wide variety of unexpected facility needs for cultural organizations, and funds are only available for actual costs incurred to repair or renovate cultural spaces. For organizations in King County.
Food and Shelter
American Red Cross shelters
Operated by partner agencies: Disaster Shelters | Find Shelters | American Red Cross
As of Monday, 12/15/25, open shelters in Washington are:
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Mount Vernon (Skagit County)
- Evergreen State Fairgrounds (Snohomish County)
- Auburn Community And Event Center (King County)
- Packwood Community Hall (Lewis County)
- Central Church (Benton County)
Washington State Department of Social and Health Services
WA State DSHS has several programs that offer emergency food assistance if eligible: Emergency Resources | DSHS
Washington Basic Food Program: Expedited Service for Basic Food | DSHS. If eligible, can receive assistance within 7 days. Basic Food can also replace up to 1 month of food benefits in the case of a disaster such as a flood: must report the disaster within 10 days of occurrence.
Food Banks
WA 211 Washington Food Bank Map: Find free food support in your neighborhood. Food banks are operating in your community and are open to all. They provide produce, pantry staples, and other groceries. Some food banks also provide other household goods, like diapers and pet food.
Flooding Resources
- Washington Flood Emergency: Financial Resources and Recovery: specific section of WA.gov that offers initial resources to help with clean up and finances
- WA 211 Flood Resources: Dial 211 for support if you are displaced by flooding. This link has specific resources for different counties, as well as additional information on who to contact and where to go to seek support based on location.
